Our hours of operation vary from week to week.
Each week, we will post that week's hours on our answering machine. We are
also more than happy to accommodate visits by special appointment. For an
appointment, or to check our hours, please call us at 423/ 348-6570. Thank
you!!! To be included in mailings regarding the nursery, please e-mail us at shyvalley@aol.com, or call us at 423/348-6570. Thanks!
How to get here: PLEASE note: Do not visit outside of posted hours without an appointment. Do not go through the nursery gate when no one is here: this is not acceptable and we consider it to be trespassing. Thank you for your consideration. We are ecstatically happy to welcome visitors who call ahead, even on short notice if we can possibly accommodate you.
We are located just off Interstate 81 at Exit 50 (Fall Branch). You may find us by using the mapquest link below. I am also including some simple directions from I-81, because some people have had weird directions given to them, especially coming from Hawkins County.
From Interstate 81- Take Exit 50, the Fall Branch Exit. (Exit 50 is just a couple of exits south of 81's intersection with I-26.) From either direction, you will want to turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp. In less than 1/2 a mile you will pass Fall Branch School on the right. You will need to turn right onto Ridge Road, the third road to the right after the school. The roads come in rapid succession, so it is not far at all after the school. After turning onto Ridge Road, proceed 8 tenths of a mile to our nursery on the left. The greenhouses are not right on the road, but you should see them as you come down the hill leading up to our place. After turning into the drive, stay to your left, and follow the drive back to the greenhouses, behind them, and follow the circle on to our parking area. After you shop, you can continue along the circle drive and exit where you entered. If one of your party has difficulty getting around for any reason, you are welcome to park in one of several closer spaces, or to drop them off and go park, but, as a courtesy to our other customers, please do not block the drive. Please enter your address for directions to Shy Valley Farm Native Habitat Nursery and Herbary, or view a map here. Thank you for your interest. -Christy
