The Boundless Garden Project This project began as a graduate project for Occupational Therapy school, but it has already begun to take on a life of its own. The first beds were put in at Sullivan South High School in Kingsport, TN. They will be available to the special education classes there. Bryan Dance is the teacher who we worked with there and who will carry on the garden project. Thanks for a generous donation of wonderful compost from Ben Hunter! The second garden beds were completed by members of the youth group at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, using donations of compost from Beth Hicks, sand from a local golf course, and monetary donations from St. Christopher's and Mr. James Oakes. Volunteers are needed to teach gardening classes, assist in maintaining the beds, and checking to make sure the beds are receiving adequate water. |
